| Announcements Volunteers are needed to help with beautifying the sanctuary for a more enjoyable worship experience. Please consider donating flowers either from your yard or purchased to enhance the service. Vases are available at church and if you wish, flower arrangers can be scheduled to assist. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. If you have any questions, please see Daniel Miyamoto, Worship Chair. Our Annual Spring Banquet will be held on Sunday, February 21 at the Pearl Country Club from 5:30p.m. Don't miss out on the fun, games, Silent Auction and the Spring Banquet Country Store (see below). There will also be special entertainment and sharing of testimonies by the group, The Joyful Noise. A sign-up sheet is posted in the hallway. Cost is $35.00 for adults and $17.50 for children 3 to 10 years old. Please make your check out to West Oahu Christian Church and indicate "Spring Banquet" in the memo line. Payment may be turned in to Sharon Horita or Tomiko Takamoto no later than February 14th. For more information see Sharon. Do you like to bake, sew, make jelly or make other things with your hands? Consider using your creative talents to donate items for this year's Spring Banquet Country Store. All proceeds will go toward the Outreach Fund which helps support activities such as the Harvest Festival. Deadline for all silent auction items is February 14. Baked goods and craft items can be brought the day of the banquet. For further information see Shima, Tena or Joyce. We are considering having another Vacation Bible School this summer, somewhere around the last week in June or the second week in July. Once again we will need many volunteers to make this program a success. We will need people to help with snacks, crafts, games as crew leaders, station leaders, etc. If you can help in any way, please see VBS directors, Darren or Jane Nako. |

| Reminders Calling all handymen (and women). God needs you at WOCC! We are developing a team of people with abilities in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, mechanics, glass, metals, gardening, painting ... just about anything. This team will be called upon to help keep our facilities in good working order and to do upgrades now and then. If God has blessed you with these types of skills and you would like to help out, please see Pastor Stan so that your name can be added to the list. How are you doing in your Bible reading? The main thing is don't stress over it. Just approach it with a heart of love for the living and present God. If you have any questions on anything you have read, please write them down and put it in Pastor Stan's box. Prayer Requests Please continue to pray for Rev. Yuji Nakamura, who is still recovering from complications following his surgery. Please pray for healing and encouragement for him and his family. Your love and support is greatly needed at this time. |
