| Announcements The Trustees are presently negotiating with an adult day care facility to lease the use of WOCC. The lease agreement would fulfill the dreams of our church founders to provide a location for a day care service for the community. In exchange, WOCC would receive rent which could be used to provide a reserve for our church maintenance projects which are long overdue. The Trustees and Deacons have received assurances that we can carry out events such as Easter and Harvest Fest and Vacation Bible School even though the facility is leased out. As in any kind of negotiation, the parties may not come to a satisfactory agreement and the deal may be called off. In any event, we will give you periodic updates on the status of these talks. Please pray that we can come up with an agreement since our church will benefit from the agreement. Mother’s Day Luncheon – Men, please stay for a short meeting after Worship with Sarah Ponder to finalize the menu. Help Wanted! Volunteers are needed to provide "kind and loving" attention to our children during worship service. Requirement: Caring adults willing to assist once a month on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Contact Joan Doi if you wish to volunteer or need further info. Members are asked to stay for a very short Congregational Meeting after Worship on May 20. We need to vote in our returning Board members. Board of Deacons Meeting right after the voting. |

| Reminders Flowers are needed to help beautify the sanctuary. Please consider donating flowers either from your yard or purchased to enhance the worship service. A sign-up sheet is posted on the hallway bulletin board. Copies of our latest issue of the Koinonia are on the resource table. If you would like to be added to our mailing list please see the ushers or Nancy Shimokawa. We now have a Nursery Cry Room in which parents of young children can view the service without having to feel self conscious. It is located next to the library/office. The Family Worship Area in the Sanctuary is still available for parents of small children. Church Cleaning Plan: Thanks so much to all who have been helping to clean. The facility is looking better! Just to clarify, there are new and separate sign-up sheets for each month. Mahalo! Calling all handymen (and women). God needs you at WOCC! We are developing a team of people with abilities in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, mechanics, glass, metals, gardening, painting ... just about anything. This team will be called upon to help keep our facilities in good working order and to do upgrades now and then. If God has blessed you with these types of skills and you would like to help out, please see Pastor Stan so that your name can be added to the list. Prayer Requests Please continue to keep Rev. Nakamura, Charlie Nako & Sharon Horita in your prayers as they continue to heal and recover from their surgeries. Please pray for healing and encouragement for them and their family.
